This meter is an intelligent semiconductor device analyzer, it can measure most of the diodes, bipolar transistors, Junction/MOS FETs and low power thyristors. It automatically identifies the type of device and pinouts, measures the current gain HFE, gate threshhold and FET junction capacitance. It can also identify and measure resistors and capacitors. The accuracy may not be able to compete with a professional LCR/ESR meter, but it definitely meets the needs for most hobby applications. Can be used with test leads or test socket. The plug-in socket board also has some pads for testing SMD devices
